Accounting Policy Manager

About the role

Lead the development, implementation, and governance of the Bank's accounting policies and accounting treatment framework to ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal governance. The role serves as a key advisor to senior management by providing strategic accounting guidance for product development, business initiatives, and financial reporting matters while overseeing the quality and integrity of the Bank's financial statements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the formulation, review, and enhancement of accounting policies, guidelines, and procedures in accordance with prevailing accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

• Serve as the subject matter expert and key decision-maker on accounting treatment for new products, strategic business initiatives, transactions, and emerging business models.

• Provide strategic accounting advice and recommendations to senior stakeholders, business units, risk management, treasury, product development, and finance teams.

• Assess accounting implications and financial reporting impact of new regulations, accounting standards, and business developments.

• Oversee the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy, consistency, and regulatory compliance.

• Lead cross-functional discussions and committees related to product approvals, business programs, accounting policy interpretations, and financial reporting matters.

Key Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in accounting policy, financial reporting, audit, or technical accounting within the banking or financial services industry.

• Strong understanding of banking products and their accounting treatment.

• In-depth knowledge of PSAK, IFRS, OJK regulations, and other relevant regulatory frameworks.

• Proven experience managing stakeholders across multiple business functions and senior management levels.

• Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and decision-making skills.
