About the role

We are seeking a Vendor Management Specialist to join our team at our North Jakarta location on a full-time basis. This role is crucial to our operations, as you will be responsible for managing our vendor relationships and ensuring that we maintain a network of reliable, cost-effective suppliers and service providers. The Vendor Management Specialist plays a strategic role in supporting our road transport operations by optimizing vendor performance, managing contracts, and driving continuous improvement across our supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors and service providers to support our transport operations

• Monitor vendor performance against agreed key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs)

• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to vendors to drive improvements

• Negotiate contracts and pricing with vendors to achieve cost savings whilst maintaining quality standards

• Manage vendor relationships and act as the primary point of contact for vendor queries and concerns

• Process vendor invoices, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely payment

• Maintain comprehensive vendor records and documentation in our management systems

• Collaborate with internal teams including operations, finance, and procurement to align vendor requirements with business needs

• Identify opportunities for vendor consolidation and optimization to improve efficiency

• Prepare regular reports on vendor performance and supply chain metrics for management review

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in vendor management, procurement, or supply chain roles, preferably within the logistics or road transport industry

• Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to build positive working relationships

• Proficiency in vendor management systems and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple vendor relationships simultaneously

• Knowledge of road transport operations and logistics best practices

• Understanding of contract management and procurement processes

• Ability to analyze data and prepare performance reports

• Fluency in both Indonesian and English languages

• Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field (preferred)

• Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is advantageous
