Transmission & Distribution Solution Technician

About the role

This role involves performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance on GIS, overhead transmission lines (SUTT), and high-voltage cable systems within electrical power transmission infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance on GIS, overhead transmission lines (SUTT), and high-voltage cable systems.

• Assist in electrical testing, troubleshooting, repair, and equipment restoration.

• Identify equipment abnormalities and report findings accurately.

• Follow applicable work procedures, electrical safety standards, Permit to Work, and Lockout–Tagout requirements.

• Maintain proper maintenance records, inspection checklists, and technical reports.

• Support emergency response and planned shutdown activities when required.

• Ensure tools, testing equipment, and personal protective equipment are properly used and maintained.

About you

• Diploma degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably majoring in Power Systems.

• Basic knowledge of high-voltage equipment, power transmission systems, and electrical safety.

• Able to read single-line diagrams and basic electrical drawings.

• Willing to work in the field, during shutdowns, and under an on-call schedule when required.

• Safety-oriented, disciplined, and able to work effectively within a team.

• At least 2 years of relevant experience is an advantage, fresh graduates are welcome.

• Familiarity with GIS, overhead transmission lines, or high-voltage cable systems is preferred.

• Relevant electrical competency or occupational safety certification is an advantage.
