About the role

PT SAM Mining is seeking an experienced Supervisor Quality Control Batubara to join our operations team in North Barito, Central Kalimantan. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of coal quality across our mining operations. As Supervisor Quality Control Batubara, you will be responsible for overseeing quality assurance processes, ensuring compliance with international standards, and safeguarding the integrity of our products. This supervisory role is essential to our operational excellence and directly impacts our reputation in the global coal market.

Key responsibilities :

• Supervise and coordinate daily quality control activities across coal extraction, processing, and handling operations

• Conduct regular sampling and testing of coal to ensure compliance with contractual specifications and international standards

• Monitor and maintain quality control equipment, calibration records, and testing procedures

• Analyse quality test results and prepare comprehensive reports for management and clients

• Identify quality deviations and implement corrective actions to resolve non-conformances

• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for quality control processes

• Train and mentor quality control staff on testing methodologies and quality standards

• Liaise with production teams to address quality concerns and optimise operational efficiency

• Maintain detailed documentation of all quality control activities and maintain audit trails

• Ensure compliance with relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations

• Participate in internal and external audits and support continuous improvement initiatives

What we're looking for :

• Good communication in English and organizational skill

• Bachelor's degree

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance within mining, coal, or similar industrial operations

• Proven supervisory or team leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop quality control personnel

• Strong knowledge of coal quality parameters, testing methods, and international quality standards (ISO standards preferred)

• Proficiency in operating quality control equipment and laboratory instruments

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret test data and identify trends

• Sound understanding of mining operations, coal processing, and supply chain requirements

• Strong communication skills in English and Indonesian; additional languages are advantageous

• Competence in Microsoft Office applications and quality management software systems

• Valid driving licence and willingness to work in a remote mining location

• Commitment to health, safety, and environmental best practices

• Professional qualifications or certifications in quality management or coal testing are highly desirable

• Willing to be based in Muara Teweh, North Barito, Central Kalimantan
