About the role

We are seeking a Supervisor Finance Account Payable - Cost Control to join our Finance team in Surabaya, Jawa Timur. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to lead and manage accounts payable operations whilst maintaining strict cost controls. In this supervisory role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency and compliance of all payable transactions, directly contributing to the financial health and operational success of PT Kamadjaja Logistics.

Key responsibilities

1. Supervise and manage the accounts payable team, ensuring timely and accurate processing of all vendor invoices and payments

2. Monitor and control expenditure to identify cost-saving opportunities and variance analysis against budgets

3. Prepare and reconcile accounts payable statements, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly in the general ledger

4. Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce errors in the payment cycle

5. Manage vendor relationships and resolve payment disputes or discrepancies in a professional manner

6. Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards and relevant regulations in all payable transactions

7. Conduct regular audits of accounts payable records to maintain data integrity and prevent fraud

8. Train, mentor and evaluate accounts payable staff, providing coaching and performance feedback

9. Generate financial reports and cost analysis to support management decision-making

10. Liaise with other departments including procurement, operations and management to ensure smooth coordination of financial activities

What we're looking for

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, or equivalent professional qualification

2. Minimum 5 years' experience in accounts payable or accounts management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role

3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices and standards relevant to accounts payable operations

4. Proficiency in accounting software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems; experience with SAP or similar platforms is advantageous

5. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, particularly for data analysis, reconciliation and reporting

6. Excellent numerical and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail

7. Strong understanding of cost control methodologies and cost analysis techniques

8. Demonstrated leadership ability with experience in team supervision, training and performance management

9. Excellent communication skills in Indonesian and English, both written and verbal

10. Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks

11. Knowledge of Indonesian tax regulations and compliance requirements is preferred

12. Experience in the logistics or supply chain industry is advantageous
