Store Operations Auditor

Job Description

As a Retail Operations Auditor, you will play a key role in ensuring operational excellence across our MAP Tech Stores by providing independent assurance that stores operate according to SOPs, and identifying operational gaps that impact sales, profitability, customer experience, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive operational audits covering store operations, sales process, customer service, store opening & closing, general cleaning, grooming, merchandising, device demo security, documentation, store conditions, and traffic counter.

• Perform surprise and risk-based audits for high-risk stores, underperforming stores, and stores with operational compliance concerns.

• Prepare and maintain complete audit documentation including audit checklists, evidence collection, photos, interview notes, and audit reports.

• Conduct root cause analysis to identify process gaps, SOP misunderstanding, leadership issues, training gaps, and control weaknesses.

• Analyze audit trends including repeat findings, store compliance scores, customer complaint patterns, and fraud indicators to provide early warning to management.

• Verify execution of key SOPs including promotions, sales process, inventory handling, device demo, cash reporting process, return process, and warranty handling.

• Produce detailed reporting including audit findings, risk rating, store scores, trend analysis, repeat findings, recommendations, and executive summary.

• Collaborate with Store Operations, Training, and Regional Management to drive preventive improvements and ensure closure of audit findings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline, preferably Business, Management, Accounting, or Industrial Engineering.

• Minimum 3-4 years of experience in Retail Audit, Store Operations Audit, Internal Audit (Retail), Area Operations, or Loss Prevention.

• Strong knowledge of retail store operations, SOPs, sales processes, and inventory & cash handling.

• Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail and ability to perform root cause analysis.

• Proficient in audit documentation, evidence collection, and audit reporting.

• Data-driven with proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets; familiarity with Power BI or Looker Studio is a plus.

• Strong communication, interview, and interpersonal skills with high integrity and objectivity.

• Willing to travel extensively for store visits and surprise audits, including outside regular working hours when required.

• Proactive, firm, and able to work independently in the field.
