Sous Chef

About the role

Ora Management Indonesia is looking for a passionate, creative, and experienced Sous Chef to join the culinary team at KLYF Club, Nusa Ceningan, Bali. The role requires a motivated culinary professional with strong leadership skills, excellent kitchen management abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality food and exceptional dining experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations and ensuring smooth service
• Supervise, train, and motivate kitchen team members to maintain high performance and productivity
• Ensure food quality, taste, presentation, and consistency meet company standards
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, sanitation, and kitchen safety
• Monitor food costs, portion control, inventory, and minimize food waste
• Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and creating new dishes
• Ensure proper storage, handling, and rotation of food ingredients
• Coordinate with the service team to ensure efficient and timely food delivery
• Support the Head Chef in maintaining kitchen standards and operational procedures

About you

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar supervisory culinary position
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations, and food safety standards
• Experience in Asian, Western, or contemporary cuisine is an advantage
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced restaurant environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Creative, disciplined, and passionate about culinary excellence
• Willing to be based in Nusa Ceningan, Bali
• Available to join immediately or with a short notice period is preferred
