Senior AI & Automation Engineer

Fett Music is a Germany- and Bali-based international music company specialized in copyright royalty management. We work with around 120 songwriters worldwide across various genres and collect their copyright royalties.

We operate in a dynamic international environment with around 20 team members across Indonesia and Germany. Most of our team works from a co-working space in Bali, and we maintain an office in Berlin. Even though we work across countries and time zones, we stay closely connected and support remote work whenever it benefits the team and the company.

About the role
We’re looking for a hands-on AI & automation engineer with proven experience designing, building, implementing, and maintaining AI and automation solutions. You’ll succeed in this role if you can understand company-wide business needs and turn them into practical, secure, and maintainable solutions. You will work closely with all departments and divisions across Fett Music to identify and prioritize automation opportunities, then build and implement solutions with measurable business impact.

Key responsibilities (but not limited to the following):

1. Business Discovery & Roadmap
   o Map important workflows, recurring tasks, bottlenecks, and manual effort with each department
   o Assess, identify, and prioritize automation opportunities
   o Build and maintain a company-wide AI and automation roadmap

1. Solution Design & Delivery
   o Translate priority opportunities into requirements, technical solutions, and implementation plans
   o Design, test, integrate, deploy, document, monitor, and continuously improve AI and automation solutions
   through hands-on development, either independently or with internal or external contributors, in close
   collaboration with the relevant departments
   o Measure time saved, output quality, errors, adoption, reliability, and maintenance needs after rollout

1. Governance & Adoption
   o Set practical standards for data security, access, and responsible AI use
   o Train users, support adoption, and coordinate project contributors while departments retain ownership of
   their processes

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS (MANDATORY)

• Proven experience leading cross-functional process improvement and AI/automation projects from discovery through rollout, with hands-on ability to assess, design, build, integrate, and maintain solutions

• Professional experience in AI/automation engineering or software development, with strong programming skills and a track record of building and maintaining production software

• Hands-on experience with APIs, system integrations, databases, automation platforms, and AI services, including LLMs

• Proven ability to analyze business processes and translate business needs into clear technical requirements and effective solutions

• Exceptional judgment on data security, responsible AI use, reliability, and long-term maintainability

• Ability to work independently, influence stakeholders, and explain technical choices to non-technical colleague

• Excellent English communication, both written and spoken
