Plumbing & Fire Fighter Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and review plumbing and fire-fighting systems

• Prepare and review shop drawings, design calculations, material submittals, and technical documents

• Coordinate plumbing and fire-fighting works with architectural, structural, electrical, HVAC, and other MEP disciplines

• Supervise site installation and ensure works are executed according to approved drawings and specifications

• Monitor material delivery, installation progress, workmanship, and resource requirements

• Conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning of plumbing and fire-fighting systems

• Prepare and review method statements, inspection and test plans

• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders

• Identify technical issues and provide practical engineering solutions

• Ensure compliance with applicable local regulations, project requirements, and relevant standards

• Monitor project progress and support the project team in achieving cost, quality, and schedule targets

• Maintain proper documentation and technical records

• Support testing, authority inspections, handover, and final project documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

• Professional experience in plumbing and fire-fighting engineering, preferably in building construction, commercial, or residential

• Good knowledge of plumbing and fire protection system design and installation

• Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings, specifications, and technical documents

• Experience with AutoCAD

• Knowledge of hydraulic calculations and fire-fighting system calculations is preferred

• Good communication, coordination, problem-solving, and site management skills
