Nurse Cathlab

Job Description :

• Assists the interventional cardiologist directly at the sterile field by handling catheters and specialized medical devices.

• Manages equipment, administers medications and moderate/conscious sedation (per protocol), records documentation, and leads the team if the patient's condition deteriorates.

• Continuously tracks and records the patient's electrocardiogram (ECG), vital signs, and hemodynamic pressures throughout the procedure.

• Review patient medical history, check for contrast-dye or drug allergies, and verify signed consent forms.

• Perform comprehensive health assessments, start peripheral IV lines, and check pre-procedure lab values and fasting guidelines.

• Perform safety checklists (such as a WHO surgical/procedural check) and prep the room and sterile equipment

• Monitor recovery, assess vascular access sites (radial or femoral) for hematoma or bleeding, and manage sheath removal.

• Educate patients and family members on post-procedure care, restrictions, and medication management.

• Coordinate discharge planning or transfer to an ICU/telemetry step-down unit

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (S1) / Nurse (Ners)

• Active Registration Certificate (STR)

• Certified in Cath Lab, ACLS, BTCLS, and basic cardiovascular care

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a Cath Lab

• Familiar with and capable of assisting in procedures such as PPM, ICD, CRT, Ablation, ASO, BMV, BPV, EVAR, TEVAR, PTA, etc.

• Familiar with Cath Lab support equipment such as FFR, Rotablator, IVUS, etc.

• Willing to work shifts

• Capable of working effectively in a team
