Market Development Officer

About the role

PT Aegis Jaya Metalindo is looking for a proactive and analytical individual to support the company's business growth in the industrial valve sector. The role is responsible for understanding the market, gathering industry intelligence, and identifying potential business opportunities that match the company's manufacturing capabilities, particularly in local valve production and import substitution in Indonesia.

Key responsibilities

• Research the Indonesian industrial valve market to understand demand, industry trends, and emerging opportunities.

• Identify potential customers, industry players, competitors, importers, distributors, and end users.

• Investigate imported valve products and identify opportunities for local manufacturing.

• Analyze product specifications, market pricing, competing brands, and customer requirements.

• Gather and verify information on industrial projects, procurement activities, and potential customer requirements.

• Build and maintain a structured database of market intelligence, target companies, relevant products, and potential business opportunities.

• Support the Business Development team by providing reliable market information to guide customer targeting and commercial strategies.

About you

• Minimum D3 or S1 in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.

• Strong research, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.

• Interest in industrial manufacturing, valves, pumps, piping systems, or related industries.

• Ability to collect, verify, and analyze information from multiple sources.

• Good communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English.

• Experience in industrial research, manufacturing, or the valve industry is an advantage.
