About the role

Indonesia Bole Yuma Human Resources Group is seeking a skilled Mandarin Speaker / Translator Mandarin to join our administrative and office support team. This is a full-time position based in Demak, Central Java. In this role, you will serve as a crucial communication bridge within our organisation, providing translation and interpretation services to support business operations, client relations, and cross-cultural communication. Your expertise in Mandarin will be integral to facilitating effective collaboration between our Indonesian and Mandarin-speaking stakeholders, making this position strategically important to our company's growth and international operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide accurate and timely translation services for documents, emails, and communications in both Mandarin and Indonesian

• Offer interpretation services during meetings, conferences, and negotiations involving Mandarin-speaking partners and clients

• Assist in preparing translated materials, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders

• Support administrative functions by managing bilingual correspondence and documentation

• Liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients and business partners to ensure clear communication and understanding

• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive business information during translation activities

• Proactively identify and resolve language-related barriers to facilitate smooth business operations

• Support other administrative tasks as required to contribute to the efficient functioning of the office

What we're looking for

• Fluent proficiency in Mandarin Chinese (both spoken and written), with native or near-native level competency

• Fluent proficiency in Indonesian (both spoken and written)

• Proven experience as a translator or interpreter, ideally within a business or administrative environment

• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple translation requests simultaneously

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all translation work

• Professional communication skills and the ability to interact respectfully with diverse stakeholders

• Knowledge of business terminology and cultural nuances in both Mandarin and Indonesian contexts

• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

• Preferred experience in human resources or administrative support roles would be advantageous
