Manager - Quality Assurance

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Manager - Quality Assurance to join PT TVS Motor Company Indonesia in West Java. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial strategic role in ensuring the highest standards of quality across our manufacturing operations. As Manager - Quality Assurance, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing comprehensive quality management systems that safeguard product integrity, enhance customer satisfaction and drive operational excellence. This role is integral to maintaining our reputation as a leading manufacturer and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and industry standards.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop, implement and maintain robust quality assurance policies, procedures and standards across all manufacturing operations

• Oversee the design and execution of quality control testing and inspection protocols to ensure products meet or exceed established specifications

• Lead a team of quality assurance professionals, providing mentorship, training and performance management to ensure team excellence

• Conduct regular audits of manufacturing processes and facilities to identify potential quality issues and non-conformances

• Manage the investigation and resolution of quality defects, customer complaints and product failures, implementing corrective and preventive actions

• Collaborate with production, engineering and procurement teams to continuously improve manufacturing processes and reduce waste

• Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, international quality standards (such as ISO 9001) and customer requirements

• Maintain accurate quality documentation, records and metrics, generating reports for management review and decision-making

• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality, defect rates and customer satisfaction

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through root cause analysis, process optimisation and lean methodologies

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing or a related discipline

• Minimum 7-10 years of professional experience in quality assurance or quality control within manufacturing environments

• At least 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory or management role, demonstrating strong leadership capabilities

• In-depth knowledge of quality management systems, particularly ISO 9001 and other relevant international standards

• Proven expertise in statistical process control (SPC), failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) and other quality tools

• Strong understanding of automotive or automotive component manufacturing processes and quality requirements

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions

• Proficiency in quality management software and Microsoft Office applications

• Strong communication skills in English and Indonesian, with the ability to communicate effectively across all organisational levels

• Demonstrated commitment to safety, continuous improvement and fostering a quality-focused culture

• Professional certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or equivalent are highly desirable
