Maintenance Department Head

This role leads the electrical and mechanical technician team, overseeing all maintenance activities (preventive, corrective, predictive) and driving process improvement projects. The Maintenance Department Head is responsible for budgeting, ensuring safety and compliance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and ensure the effective, timely, and safe execution of preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance (electrical & mechanical).

• Identify areas for process optimization to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality by staying up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies.

• Develop and manage the maintenance budget, track expenses, and implement strategies to ensure cost-effective operations.

• Lead, mentor, and develop the technician team while providing expert technical input to the maintenance planner.

• Ensure all maintenance tasks and improvement projects comply with occupational safety regulations (HSE), industry standards, and company policies.

• Partner effectively with production, quality, and management teams to achieve common operational goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Engineering or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Department Head or similar managerial role.

• Strong background in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.

• Solid knowledge and practical experience in implementing Preventive Maintenance, Predictive Maintenance, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) strategies.

• Demonstrated leadership, mentorship, and team-building skills.

• Effective cross-functional communication abilities.

• Willing to work in Semarang.
