Logistic Jr. Foreman

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate logistical teams to ensure efficient loading, unloading, storage and distribution of materials and equipment

• Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate record-keeping of incoming and outgoing goods

• Coordinate with other departments to plan and schedule material movements in accordance with operational requirements

• Ensure all logistical activities comply with health, safety and environmental regulations

• Conduct regular inspections of storage areas, equipment and vehicles to maintain standards and identify maintenance needs

• Train and mentor team members on proper handling procedures, safety protocols and operational best practices

• Report on logistical performance, identifying bottlenecks and recommending improvements to efficiency

• Manage documentation and ensure accurate completion of all logistical records and reports

• Respond promptly to operational issues and resolve problems affecting logistics workflow

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in logistics, warehouse management or similar supervisory roles within a industrial or mining environment

• Strong knowledge of material handling procedures, storage practices and inventory management systems

• Demonstrated leadership ability with experience supervising and coordinating teams of labourers

• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously

• Sound understanding of health, safety and environmental (HSE) standards relevant to logistics operations

• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, plans and logistics schedules

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multicultural team environment

• Physical capability to perform regular site inspections and work in an industrial setting

• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure

• Previous experience in the mining or extractive industries is highly desirable

• Relevant certifications in logistics, forklift operation or HSE management are advantageous
