Kindergarten Teacher

About the role

Saint Nicholas School is looking for a passionate and dedicated Kindergarten Teacher (K1) to join our team. This position is for immediate placement.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning activities for K1 students

• Create a warm, safe, and positive classroom environment where children feel comfortable learning and expressing themselves

• Manage classroom routines, student behavior, and daily transitions effectively

• Encourage students' social, emotional, cognitive, language, and motor development through play and structured activities

• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, worksheets, and other learning resources as needed

• Observe and assess students' development and learning progress

• Communicate and collaborate effectively with teaching partners, staff, and parents

• Participate in school events, activities, meetings, and other responsibilities related to the teaching role

• Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and appropriate learning displays

• Follow the school's curriculum, policies, procedures, and teaching standards

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, Psychology, or a related field

• Previous experience teaching kindergarten or early childhood students is preferred

• Good command of English, both spoken and written

• Warm, patient, caring, and enthusiastic when working with young children

• Good classroom management and communication skills

• Creative and able to develop fun, interactive, and age-appropriate learning activities

• Responsible, organized, adaptable, and able to work well as part of a team

• Willing to participate actively in school activities and events

• Available for immediate placement or able to start soon
