Junior Tax / Accounting Consultant

About the role

PT Excellent Accounting Partners is seeking a talented and motivated Junior Tax / Accounting Consultant to join our growing team in Badung, Bali. This is a full-time position based in our Badung office, offering an excellent opportunity to develop your expertise in taxation and financial accounting within a professional and supportive environment. As a Junior Tax / Accounting Consultant, you will work closely with senior consultants and clients to provide comprehensive tax and accounting solutions, whilst building a strong foundation in financial reporting and tax compliance.

What you'll be doing

1. Preparing and reviewing tax returns, including corporate income tax, personal income tax, and value-added tax (VAT) documentation

2. Assisting with bookkeeping and general ledger maintenance for multiple clients

3. Conducting tax research and analysis to ensure compliance with current Indonesian tax regulations and updates

4. Supporting the preparation of financial statements and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting

5. Performing account reconciliations and identifying discrepancies or areas requiring adjustment

6. Providing preliminary tax planning advice to clients on structuring and optimising their tax position

7. Liaising with clients to gather necessary financial documentation and information for tax and accounting purposes

8. Maintaining accurate and organised client files and records in compliance with firm standards

9. Supporting senior consultants with ad-hoc accounting and tax projects as required

10. Staying updated with changes in tax legislation and accounting standards to ensure best practice

What we're looking for

1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or a related field

2. Strong understanding of Indonesian tax regulations, financial accounting principles and reporting standards

3. Proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheet applications (Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks or similar platforms)

4. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a logical approach to identifying solutions

6. Clear written and verbal communication skills in both Indonesian and English

7. A professional approach to client interactions and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

8. Familiarity with Indonesian tax law, VAT procedures and corporate compliance requirements

9. Preferably, experience or certification in Indonesian taxation (Brevet A or similar qualification) would be advantageous

10. A commitment to professional development and a willingness to pursue further accounting or tax qualifications
