IT Business Analyst – Vendor Management System (VMS)

Job Description

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to the Vendor Management System (VMS).

• Coordinate with business users, vendors, developers, and IT teams to identify business needs and system requirements.

• Analyze existing business processes related to vendor registration, vendor data management, procurement, and vendor performance monitoring.

• Translate business requirements into functional specifications, Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Specification Documents (FSD), and user stories.

• Support system enhancement, configuration, integration, and implementation activities for the VMS.

• Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT), prepare test scenarios, document test results, and coordinate issue resolution.

• Monitor system issues and work with technical teams to ensure the VMS functions according to business requirements.

• Prepare system documentation, user guides, and conduct knowledge transfer or user training when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst, System Analyst, or in a similar role.

• Experience in business requirements gathering, business process analysis, and functional documentation.

• Familiarity with BRD, FSD, user stories, process flows, and use case documentation.

• Understanding of system development lifecycle (SDLC), software testing, and UAT processes.

• Experience with Vendor Management System (VMS), procurement systems, Supplier Management Systems, or ERP applications is an advantage.

• Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

• Able to coordinate effectively with business stakeholders and technical teams.
