Head of IOB Academy

About the role

As the Head of IOB Academy, you will take ownership of the Academy as a business and operating unit. You will be responsible for driving growth, managing day-to-day operations, building and managing the tutor team, monitoring program performance, and ensuring a consistently high-quality experience for students and parents. You will work closely with the IOB management team to develop strategies, establish efficient systems, and scale IOB Academy sustainably.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the overall growth and development of IOB Academy and develop strategies to increase student acquisition, enrollment, retention, and revenue
• Monitor key business metrics, including enrollment, conversion, retention, class utilization, and revenue
• Identify opportunities to improve packages, pricing, promotions, and the overall customer journey
• Develop new initiatives and opportunities to expand the Academy's business
• Prepare regular performance reports and strategic recommendations for IOB management
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of IOB Academy, including student enrollment, placement, scheduling, class allocation, and tutor assignment
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve operational SOPs and systems
• Lead the recruitment and selection of Math Olympiad tutors and develop tutor recruitment and selection standards
• Manage tutor schedules, availability, and class allocation, and monitor tutor performance, attendance, reliability, and teaching quality
• Ensure IOB Academy programs are delivered consistently according to established standards and monitor student progress, satisfaction, and retention

About you

• Bachelor's degree in any relevant field
• 2–5+ years of professional experience in education, EdTech, tutoring, academy, enrichment education, or related business operations
• Proven experience managing operations, programs, or an education business/unit
• Experience leading, managing, or developing a team
• Experience in teacher/tutor recruitment and performance management
• Strong understanding of business performance, targets, and operational KPIs
• Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
• Able to work independently and take ownership of business and operational decisions
• Comfortable working with spreadsheets, dashboards, online learning platforms, and digital tools
