Head of Business Development

About the role

This role will play a critical part in identifying new growth opportunities, structuring strategic investments, securing funding, and building partnerships that support the company's long-term business expansion within the real estate and property sector.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute long-term business development and investment strategies to accelerate growth within the real estate and property sector

• Lead the structuring and execution of investment transactions, including equity financing, debt financing, project financing, joint ventures (JV), joint operations (JO), and other strategic funding structures

• Identify, originate, assess, and develop attractive investment opportunities, including potential property acquisitions, land development opportunities, strategic partnerships, and new business ventures

• Lead feasibility studies, investment analysis, asset valuation, financial modeling, scenario analysis, and investment return assessment including IRR, NPV, ROI, and project cash flow

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, private equity firms, institutional investors, strategic investors, landowners, and other key business partners

• Lead end-to-end transaction processes including commercial assessment, financial and legal due diligence, negotiation, transaction structuring, documentation, approval, and closing

• Monitor investment performance and provide strategic recommendations to optimize project profitability, capital structure, and return on investment

• Lead and develop Business Development and Investment teams while working closely with Board Members, Senior Management, Finance, Legal, Project Development, and other key stakeholders

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Real Estate, or other relevant disciplines

• MBA, Master's degree, CFA, or other relevant professional qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience with strong exposure to Business Development, Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, Private Equity, Real Estate Investment, or Property Development

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a senior managerial or leadership position

• Strong track record in managing or executing investment transactions, fundraising, project financing, M&A, property acquisitions, joint ventures, or strategic partnerships

• Advanced knowledge of financial modeling and investment analysis, property and corporate valuation, project financing and capital structuring, investment feasibility studies, and risk and sensitivity analysis

• Good understanding of real estate transactions, land-related regulations, investment structures, and JV/JO arrangements

• Strong professional network within banking, financial institutions, investors, private equity, property developers, and landowners

• Excellent negotiation, commercial judgment, strategic thinking, leadership, and stakeholder management skills

• Strong communication and presentation skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English
