Fragrance Evaluator

About the role

As a Fragrance Evaluator, you will be working in our R&D office in BSD area. You will develop expertise in olfactive language, fragrance families, and sensory evaluation while managing our fragrance library and conducting internal evaluation sessions across product categories.

Key responsibilities

• Understand olfactive language, basic odor notes, fragrance families and descriptive creative associations

• Manage fragrance library, including effective utilization and identifying gaps to improve and enhance fragrances

• Conduct internal evaluation sessions on categories assigned, including projects related to fragrance stability in actual product matrix and new product launches

• Develop olfactive strategies and a common communication platform with Perfumers and fellow evaluators to ensure project delivery within set deadlines

• Build creative sensory and evaluation expertise

• Acquire learnings and carry out in-house and customers' evaluation protocols and practice use of internal panel

• Develop market and product familiarity, trends and consumer preferences in Indonesia, Asia Pacific region and beyond

• Identify interesting fragrances from key product launches for creative interpretations

• Participate in the interpretation of consumer test results and understand Market Research tools and techniques

About you

• Minimum Diploma and above qualification in Perfumery, Chemistry and relevant field

• Minimum 3 years experience of fragrance evaluation across various categories

• Stable and consistent growth and development track record in client-facing roles and fragrance development projects

• Passion for fragrance and storytelling through scent and sharing

• Good knowledge of sensory evaluation

• Good knowledge of fragrance chemicals

• Independent and responsible team player

• Excellent presentation and communication skill
