Commissioning Engineer

About the role

PT Jaya Obayashi is seeking an experienced MEP Commissioning Engineer to join our team in our Data Center project at Karawang, West Java. As a Commissioning Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring all stages of engineering project testing are completed. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your technical expertise and contribute to the delivery of high-quality, reliable infrastructure.

What you'll be doing

• Develop and implement commissioning plans and procedures to verify the proper installation and operation of all material & equipment from owner or principal.

• Conduct system inspections, testing, and troubleshooting to identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies

• Collaborate with project teams, including planning engineers, technical site team, and sub-contractors, to coordinate and execute commissioning activities.

• Prepare and maintain detailed commissioning records, test reports, and documentation.

• Provide technical support and guidance to ensure the successful handover of commissioned systems

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of commissioning processes and best practices

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical Engineering

• Minimum 2-5 years of experience as a Commissioning Engineer, preferably in the construction industry

• Proficient in the use of commissioning tools, testing equipment, and related software

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve technical issues MEP

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to ensure timely and quality project delivery

• Familiarity with relevant electrical and MEP standards, codes, and regulations
