Business Development Manager (Maritime)

About The Role

As Business Development Manager at PT Samindo Resources Tbk, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's growth and expansion in the sea transport and maritime business. You will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and developing new business opportunities, particularly in vessel chartering, maritime services, and strategic investments, in alignment with the company's business objectives. This full-time position is located in South Jakarta, Jakarta.

What you'll be doing

• Develop and evaluate new business opportunities in sea transport and maritime services.

• Source and lead due diligence for vessel acquisition, chartering, and other maritime investment opportunities.

• Analyse vessel economics, charter rates, operating costs, utilization, and investment returns.

• Conduct market, commercial, financial, and risk analysis.

• Develop DCF, IRR, NPV, and other financial models to support investment decisions.

• Structure and negotiate transactions, partnerships, JVs, and commercial agreements.

• Build and manage relationships with shipowners, charterers, brokers, investors, and strategic partners.

• Prepare investment memoranda, feasibility studies, business proposals, and deal reports.

What we're looking for

• Minimum 13 years of relevant professional experience.

• Minimum 10 years of experience in sea transport, shipping or maritime industries.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, investment, corporate finance, or transaction-related roles.

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field from a reputable university.

• Strong knowledge of vessel chartering and maritime business.

• Strong skills in financial modelling (DCF/IRR/NPV), risk analysis, and business/report writing.

• Good understanding of Indonesian maritime and shipping regulations.

• Excellent English communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

• Willing to travel as required.
