Bartender / Barista

Job Summary

The Bartender / Barista is responsible for preparing and serving beverages (coffee, non-coffee, and alcoholic drinks if applicable), ensuring consistent quality, excellent customer service, and maintaining cleanliness and efficiency in the bar area. This role plays a key part in delivering a positive guest experience and supporting daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Beverage Preparation

• Prepare and serve coffee, tea, juices, mocktails, and alcoholic beverages according to recipes and standards

• Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control

• Operate coffee machines, grinders, blenders, and bar equipment properly

• Perform daily calibration (for coffee) to maintain quality

2. Customer Service

• Greet customers and take orders in a friendly and professional manner

• Provide recommendations based on customer preferences

• Handle customer inquiries and complaints efficiently

• Maintain a welcoming and engaging atmosphere at the bar

3. Bar Operations

• Set up and prepare bar area before opening (mise en place)

• Ensure smooth workflow during service hours

• Monitor stock levels of ingredients and supplies

• Coordinate with kitchen and service team for order accuracy

4. Cleanliness & Hygiene

• Maintain cleanliness of bar area, equipment, and utensils at all times

• Follow hygiene and sanitation standards (including food safety regulations)

• Ensure proper handling and storage of ingredients

• Perform regular cleaning routines (daily & closing duties)

5. Inventory & Stock Control

• Assist in stock counting and inventory checks

• Minimize wastage and control usage of ingredients

• Report low stock levels to supervisor/manager

• Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) principles

6. Compliance & SOP

• Follow company SOPs and beverage preparation standards

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

• Adhere to legal requirements for alcohol service (if applicable)

• Maintain discipline and professionalism during working hours
