Assistant Manager Finance, Accounting & Tax (FAT)

About the role

Apotek Inofarma is looking for an experienced Assistant Manager to run the day-to-day finance, accounting and tax operations of our pharmacy retail business. You will make sure our numbers are accurate and on time, our taxes are compliant, and our store and head-office processes are efficient. You will also turn financial data into insight that helps management make decisions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements: Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and General Ledger

• Prepare the Management Report with supporting detail covering store-level and entity-level performance, gross margin, COGS, inventory and operating expenses

• Analyse variances against prior periods and give management clear commentary and recommendations

• Track key retail metrics such as sales, margin, inventory turnover, cash conversion and cost per store, and flag risks and opportunities early

• Make sure all transactions are recorded accurately, in the right period and in line with accounting standards and company policy

• Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable: supplier invoices and payments, customer and corporate billing, timely invoicing and reimbursements

• Lead month-end and year-end closing, including accruals, reconciliations and review of journal entries

• Oversee daily sales and cash reconciliation between stores, the POS system and bank settlements

• Calculate, prepare and file monthly and annual tax returns for all entities on schedule, covering VAT, withholding taxes and corporate income tax

• Supervise, coach and review the work of accounting supervisor and staff

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting

• At least 5 years of relevant experience

• Experience in retail, multi-outlet or store operations is preferred, and pharmacy or healthcare retail is a plus

• Solid knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping, Indonesian financial reporting standards, taxation and regulations

• Hands-on experience with tax filing in Coretax

• Experience with cloud-based accounting or ERP software (e.g. ERPNext, NetSuite, SAP) is a plus

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with close attention to detail

• Able to multitask, manage tight deadlines and work across departments in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent written and spoken communication in English and Bahasa Indonesia
