Deskripsi pekerjaan
1. Network Architecture Design & Capacity Planning
Design and dimension core transport network topologies using DWDM, OTN, and IP/MPLS architectures.
Perform optical link budget calculations, chromatic dispersion analysis, and spectrum allocation for new backhaul routes.
Evaluate traffic growth trends and conduct capacity upgrades on ROADM nodes, transponders, and optical amplifiers.
2. Deployment & Acceptance Testing
Oversee the installation, commissioning, and integration of transmission equipment from vendors (e.g., Huawei, Nokia, Ciena, Cisco).
Conduct field Acceptance Testing (AT) for new optical distribution networks (ODN), fiber routes, and high-speed wavelengths.
Coordinate with civil and field engineering teams during Right-of-Way (ROW) fiber rollout projects.
3. Network Maintenance & Fault Management
Monitor transport network health and optical power levels to maintain >99.99% uptime.
Lead rapid restoration efforts for major network incidents, including fiber cuts, optical signal degradation, and hardware failures.
Utilize diagnostic tools (OTDR, Optical Spectrum Analyzers, BERT) to isolate and repair transmission faults.
4. Performance Optimization & Protection
Configure network protection schemes (ASON, ERPS, SNCP, MPLS-TE) to ensure seamless automatic failover during physical disruptions.
Audit and optimize optical power levels, dispersion compensation, and bit error rates across core rings.
5. Vendor & Asset Governance
Supervise vendor managed services and field maintenance contractors to ensure compliance with strict MTTR and SLA targets.
Maintain complete network documentation, including fiber route schematics, optical patch schedules, and GIS/NMS asset registers.
