About the role

PT Elux Technology International is seeking a talented Translator Mandarin to join our team on a full-time basis in the Riau Islands. This is a strategic position that plays a crucial role in facilitating effective communication between our international operations and Mandarin-speaking stakeholders, partners, and clients. In the Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics sector, accurate and culturally sensitive translation is essential to ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and strong business relationships. As our Translator Mandarin, you will be instrumental in bridging linguistic and cultural gaps, enabling seamless collaboration across our global network.

Key responsibilities

• Translate technical documentation, reports, and operational materials from English to Mandarin Chinese and vice versa with accuracy and cultural sensitivity

• Provide real-time interpretation during meetings, negotiations, and conferences with Mandarin-speaking partners, suppliers, and stakeholders

• Maintain consistent terminology and style across all translation projects to ensure brand coherence and professional standards

• Collaborate with analysis and reporting teams to ensure that translated data, metrics, and insights are clearly communicated across language barriers

• Prepare and translate reports, presentations, and correspondence related to logistics, supply chain management, and manufacturing operations

• Proofread and quality-check translations to guarantee accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company guidelines

• Support the localisation of training materials, manuals, and operational procedures for Mandarin-speaking team members and partners

• Maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive commercial and technical information

What we're looking for

• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese (written and spoken) at a professional or near-native level

• Proven experience as a translator or interpreter, ideally within manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, or international trade environments

• Strong understanding of technical and industry-specific terminology relevant to the Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics sector

• Excellent written communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely

• Cultural awareness and sensitivity to nuances in both English and Mandarin communication contexts

• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all translation work

• Ability to manage multiple translation projects simultaneously whilst maintaining quality standards

• Professional certification in translation or interpretation (desirable)

• Experience with translation software or computer-assisted translation (CAT) tools (advantageous)

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
