About the role

Bimbel Siska is seeking a dedicated English tutor to join our teaching team in Medan, North Sumatra. This is a part-time role designed to provide high-quality English lessons to students. As an English Tutor, you will play an important role in helping students master English language skills including grammar comprehension, vocabulary, and communication abilities. You will work directly with students in an interactive and engaging tutoring environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver effective and engaging English lessons in accordance with students' school curriculum

• Teach basic English skills including listening, speaking, reading, and writing using innovative teaching methods

• Help students understand grammar, vocabulary, and English language structure in depth

• Provide assignments and exercises appropriate to student learning

• Evaluate student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback

• Create a positive, supportive, and conducive classroom atmosphere for learning

• Create practice exam questions to prepare students for exams and improve English language abilities according to student materials

About you

• Minimum education: Diploma, Bachelor's degree, or currently studying in English Literature, Education, or Teaching

• Excellent English language ability, both oral and written

• Teaching experience in English language minimum 1-2 years

• Communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts in an easy-to-understand way

• Patience, empathy, and positive attitude in facing student learning challenges

• Good time management skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team

• Experience with interactive teaching methods and use of technology in learning will be an added value
