About the role

BMW Motorrad is seeking a talented Supervisor Finance Accounting Tax to join our Finance team on a contract basis in Jakarta Selatan, Jakarta Raya. This is a strategic position that plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, tax compliance, and accounting operations across our organisation. You will supervise the accounting function, oversee tax matters, and provide leadership to ensure the highest standards of financial accuracy and regulatory compliance. This role is integral to supporting BMW Motorrad's financial objectives and maintaining our reputation for excellence in the automotive industry.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the accounting team, providing guidance, coaching and performance management to ensure effective team operations

• Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements and accounting records in accordance with applicable accounting standards and regulations

• Monitor and manage tax compliance obligations, including corporate tax, income tax and other statutory requirements

• Prepare and review tax calculations, returns and filings to ensure timely and accurate submissions to tax authorities

• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate variances to maintain the integrity of financial records

• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and internal controls

• Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants to facilitate audit processes and tax matters

• Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and ensure proper documentation and filing

• Analyse financial data and provide insights to support management decision-making

• Ensure compliance with BMW Motorrad policies and relevant regulatory requirements

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, with relevant professional certifications (e.g. CPA, CA, or equivalent) highly desirable

• Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in accounting and tax functions, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or senior accounting role

• Strong knowledge of Indonesian tax regulations, financial reporting standards and accounting practices

• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Excellent understanding of financial accounting principles, GAAP or IFRS standards

• Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a team effectively, with strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with meticulous attention to detail

• Experience in automotive or manufacturing industry accounting is preferred

• Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams

• Fluency in Indonesian and English, both written and verbal
