About the role

We are seeking a Speech Therapist to join Bali International Hospital on a fulltime basis. This is a strategic role within our rehabilitation and allied health services department, based in Bali. As a Speech Therapist, you will play a vital part in our healthcare team, providing specialist assessment, diagnosis, and treatment services to patients with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives whilst working within a modern, well-resourced healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and swallowing assessments for patients of all ages

• Develop individualised treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical findings

• Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy interventions

• Manage patients with voice disorders, articulation difficulties, fluency disorders, language disorders, and dysphagia

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists to ensure integrated patient care

• Document patient progress and maintain detailed clinical records in accordance with hospital protocols and regulatory requirements

• Provide patient and family education regarding communication strategies and swallowing safety

• Participate in discharge planning and recommend ongoing community-based support as needed

• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and maintain professional standards of practice

• Attend team meetings and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures

What we're looking for

• A recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy or Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution

• Current professional registration or licensure as required by relevant healthcare regulatory bodies

• Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification clinical experience in a healthcare setting

• Strong assessment and diagnostic skills with proficiency in standardised assessment tools

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to patients and families

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken; multilingual abilities are advantageous

• Commitment to continuing professional development and evidence-based practice

• Excellent time management and organisational skills

• Compassionate approach to patient care with strong interpersonal skills

• Experience working with diverse patient populations and cultural sensitivity
