Senior Purchasing (Garment)

About the role

Lead and oversee all Purchasing activities for garment materials. This role involves sourcing, selecting, negotiating, and evaluating suppliers to ensure material availability meets production needs and timelines. You will control purchase orders, deliveries, and outstanding materials while managing procurement costs and ensuring materials meet quality specifications. The role requires coordination across multiple departments including PPIC, Production, Warehouse, QC, R&D, Finance, and Merchandising.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all Purchasing material garment activities

• Conduct sourcing, selection, negotiation, and evaluation of suppliers

• Ensure material availability according to requirements and production timeline

• Control PO, delivery, and outstanding material

• Control purchasing costs and ensure materials meet quality specifications

• Coordinate with PPIC, Production, Warehouse, QC, R&D, Finance, and Merchandising

• Handle procurement challenges and monitor Purchasing team performance

About you

• Minimum D3/S1 education, preferably in Management, Industrial Engineering, Fashion/Garment, or related field

• Minimum 4–5 years of experience in Purchasing, Procurement, or Supply Chain

• Preferably have experience in garment, convection, or textile industry

• Experience leading or coordinating a Purchasing team

• Understanding of garment material procurement processes from sourcing to delivery

• Strong negotiation skills and supplier management capabilities

• Ability to ensure material availability according to requirements and production schedule

• Expertise in Purchasing, Procurement, and Supply Chain Management

• Knowledge of garment materials including fabric, thread, zipper, buttons, labels, and accessories

• Proficiency in PO monitoring, delivery, inventory, and production material requirements
