Senior International Purchasing

• Lead and supervise international purchasing activities to ensure the timely procurement of materials required for shipbuilding, ship repair & ship docking projects.
• Develop sourcing strategies and identify qualified international suppliers, particularly from China, to achieve purchasing budget and delivery objectives.
• Manage the end-to-end import procurement process, including supplier sourcing, RFQ/RFP, price negotiations, purchase order issuance, and shipment.
• Communicate and negotiate directly with International suppliers regarding pricing, specifications, lead times, quality requirements, and commercial terms.
• Coordinate with Engineering, PPIC, Warehouse, Logistics, and Project Management teams to ensure procurement activities align with project schedules and material requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery, responsiveness, and compliance with contractual agreements.
• Oversee import documentation, including Purchase Orders, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading/Air Waybills, Certificates of Origin, and other shipping documents.
• Control procurement costs, monitor purchasing budgets, and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining product quality and delivery performance.
• Prepare procurement reports, supplier performance evaluations, import status updates, and purchasing KPIs for management.

Kualifikasi

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or Marine related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in international purchasing or procurement for a Shipyard or Marine related company.
• Must be Fluent in Mandarin (Chinese) and English, both spoken and written, with the ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with overseas suppliers.
• Experienced in working with International including Chinese suppliers is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of international procurement, import procedures, customs clearance, Incoterms, and international shipping documentation.
• Proven experience in worldwide international supplier sourcing, vendor evaluation, and commercial negotiations.
• High integrity, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
• Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
