Propeller Mechanic

About the role

Join our team and gain hands-on experience in ship propeller, shafting, and mechanical maintenance & repair.

Key responsibilities

• Perform inspection, maintenance, repair, and installation of propellers and related components

• Assist with dismantling and assembly of propeller, shafting, bearing, coupling, and other mechanical components

• Conduct measurements, alignment, and condition checks on propeller and shafting systems

• Identify damage, wear, or abnormalities and report findings to the Supervisor

• Operate mechanical tools and equipment safely and correctly

• Ensure work meets SOP, quality, and safety standards

• Prepare accurate inspection and work reports

• Work closely with the team to complete maintenance and repair activities

About you

• Minimum SMK/D3/S1 in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Ship Machinery, or related fields

• Basic understanding of mechanical systems, machinery, and tools

• Knowledge of ship propeller, shafting, bearing, coupling, or related components is a plus

• Able to use basic measuring instruments and mechanical tools

• Able to read technical/mechanical drawings is an advantage

• Willing to work in workshop and shipboard environments

• Disciplined, detail-oriented, responsible, and eager to learn

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Internship/PKL experience in mechanical or marine-related fields is an advantage
