Pilot Drone (Has Certificated SIDOPI DKKPU)

About the role

This role involves operating cargo drones for transporting Fresh Fruit Bunches (TBS) in agricultural operations. You will work as part of a pilot team conducting pre-flight planning, drone operations, and post-flight procedures while maintaining strict safety and operational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct route surveys and planning with co-pilot before operations begin

• Perform pre-flight drone checks according to checklist before shift and each flight

• Coordinate with harvesting/collection teams to ensure TBS is ready for transport to standard

• Verify and weigh TBS cargo to ensure it does not exceed maximum drone payload limits

• Conduct loading and unloading of TBS safely according to procedure

• Confirm flight direction with co-pilot before take-off or before drone returns to origin point

• Execute take-off and landing according to SOP while monitoring weather conditions

• Inspect physical condition of drone after landing and replace batteries if needed

• Record operational data including take-off/landing times, cargo weight, battery status, and drone condition

• Report any abnormal technical conditions immediately to Project Manager

About you

• Understand cargo drone operations and technical limitations including payload, endurance, and operational weather conditions

• Hold a valid drone pilot licence

• Preferred: SIDOPI or DKKPU certification/licence

• Experience operating DJI FlyCart 100 drones is an advantage

• Able to read maps and conduct route planning

• Strong communication and coordination skills

• Disciplined, detail-oriented, responsible, with high safety awareness

• Willing to work shift systems and work directly in the field
