About the role

Maintenance PLTM is responsible for implementing preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, civil support equipment, and control systems of the power plant to ensure PLTM can operate safely, reliably, efficiently, and in accordance with work safety procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Implement preventive maintenance according to schedule, work instructions, and maintenance checklists established by the company

• Implement corrective maintenance to handle damage, leaks, wear, disturbances, or abnormal conditions on PLTM equipment

• Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, and periodic inspections of power generation equipment according to applicable checklists

• Maintain mechanical equipment including intake, trash rack, sand trap, forebay, spillway, tailrace, penstock, turbine, gearbox, belt, pulley, shaft, bearing, lubrication system, cooling system, valve, penstock, and support equipment

• Maintain electrical equipment including generator, excitation system, distribution panel, transformer, breaker, contactor, protection relay, electric motor, control system, instrumentation system, grounding system, and battery and DC system

• Perform technical measurements and inspections such as voltage, current, insulation resistance, grounding resistance, temperature, pressure, vibration, and lubrication condition

• Identify causes of equipment disturbances or damage and report analysis results to supervisor

• Perform simple repairs independently according to authority and support major repairs with technicians, contractors, or third parties

• Replace damaged or worn spare parts according to technical specifications and material availability

• Record all maintenance work in work orders, checklist forms, maintenance logbooks, and repair reports completely and on time

• Report needs for spare parts, materials, tools, or repair services to supervisor

• Coordinate with operators before and after maintenance work, including handover of equipment condition

• Perform equipment isolation and LOTO/Isolation and Tag Out procedures before working on electrical or mechanical equipment

• Use PPE and apply occupational safety and health procedures in all maintenance activities

• Maintain cleanliness, neatness, and safety of work areas including workshop, spare parts warehouse, turbine room, generator room, and surrounding power plant areas

• Implement work according to environmental provisions including management of oil waste, electronic waste, scrap material, and pollution prevention

• Execute supervisor instructions related to maintenance, repairs, work safety, and regulatory compliance

About you

• Indonesian citizen

• Physically and mentally healthy, proven by health certificate from health facility

• No history of illness that could endanger personal safety or others at work, particularly vision disturbances, hearing loss, balance disorders, epilepsy, or uncontrolled heart disease

• Willing to be placed at PLTM Lawe Sikap location, Southeast Aceh and work according to shift/rotation system established by company

• Willing to participate in training, competency testing, and performance evaluation conducted by company

• Minimum education D3 or S1

• Preferred graduates from Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Power Installation Engineering, or Renewable Energy Engineering

• Ability to read and understand basic technical documents such as (SLD), Wiring Diagram, Installation drawings, Equipment Manual Books, Maintenance Procedures, and Inspection Checklists

• Minimum 1 year work experience in power generation, electrical maintenance, power generation, electrical installation, or manufacturing industry; or experience in internship/practical work at PLTM, PLTA, PLTD, or electrical company; or fresh graduate with electrical/electronics engineering education accepted with requirement to participate in training and mentoring by senior technician during probation period
