About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Lecturer / Trainer in Space Economy & Space Technology to deliver a professional Weiterbildung program for adult learners.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in aerospace, space technology, satellite systems, NewSpace, technology management, innovation, or the commercial space industry, combined with the ability to explain complex technical and strategic topics in a practical and understandable way.

This is a teaching-focused role for professionals who want to understand the technological, economic, commercial, regulatory, and strategic developments shaping the space industry.

Main Topics

The lecturer will cover topics including:

• Space economy and the major economic sectors of the global space industry

• Growth opportunities and emerging markets in the space sector

• Spaceflight technologies, including satellites, launch vehicles and related technologies

• Edge computing and digital technologies supporting space applications

• Commercial space and the innovation ecosystem

• Space startups, investment opportunities and established industry players

• Business models and success factors in the commercial space sector

• Space-based production, resources and logistics

• Emerging applications such as space mining, 3D printing and space tourism

• Legal frameworks, regulation and space governance

• Sustainable and safe development of the space sector

• Strategic positioning in the emerging space economy

• Future technologies, including AI and quantum computing

• Entrepreneurial strategies and technology roadmaps for the space age

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and structured online teaching sessions for adult professional learners

• Explain technical and strategic concepts in a clear, practical and application-oriented manner

• Connect space technologies with business models, investment, innovation and organizational strategy

• Use relevant industry examples, case studies and current developments

• Facilitate discussions, practical exercises and knowledge-transfer activities

• Prepare or adapt teaching materials according to the provided curriculum and learning objectives

• Support learners in understanding both the technological and commercial dimensions of the space economy

Requirements

• Relevant degree or professional qualification in one or more of the following areas:

  • Aerospace / Space Engineering

  • Space Science / Space Technology

  • Satellite Technology

  • Electrical / Mechanical / Systems Engineering

  • Technology Management

  • Innovation Management

  • Business / Economics with relevant space-industry experience

  • Other closely related fields

• Relevant professional or industry experience in space technology, aerospace, satellite systems, NewSpace, space business or related technology fields

• Strong understanding of current developments in the space economy

• Ability to explain complex technical subjects to adult learners with different professional backgrounds

• Demonstrated teaching, training, workshop or presentation experience

• Fluent English communication skills

• Comfortable delivering live online training
