Native English-Speaking Preschool Teacher

About the role

Native English-speaking preschool teacher for an international preschool in Batam, Indonesia. You will teach children aged 1.5-5 years, with English as the language of instruction, and create a positive, engaging and nurturing learning environment where children feel safe, confident and inspired to learn.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning activities in English

• Create a warm, safe, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment

• Support children's language development, creativity, social skills and emotional well-being

• Implement play-based and child-centred teaching approaches

• Prepare lesson plans, learning materials and student progress reports

• Observe and assess children's developmental milestones

• Communicate professionally with parents regarding children's learning and development

• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high standards of early childhood education

• Participate in school events, professional development and parent engagement activities

About you

• Native English speaker with excellent spoken and written English

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education

• Relevant preschool teaching qualifications and experience are highly desirable

• Experience working with children aged 1.5-5 years is an advantage

• Knowledge of early childhood development

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and classroom management skills

• Patient, caring, creative, responsible and enthusiastic about early childhood education

• Able to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment

• Willing to relocate to Batam, Indonesia

• Eligible to obtain the appropriate Indonesian work and residence permits, where applicable
