Midwife

Job Description:

• Conduct routine check-ups, physical exams, and monitor maternal and fetal vitals (blood pressure, heart rate, weight).

• Order or perform diagnostic tests, ultrasounds, and lab screenings.

• Identify high-risk pregnancies and coordinate specialist care when needed.

• Create individualized birth plans and educate parents on nutrition, labor, and newborn care.
  Provide immediate and follow-up care for new mothers and newborns.

• Assist with breastfeeding, infant feeding, and daily newborn maintenance.

• Support families through difficult events like miscarriage, stillbirth, or neonatal loss.

• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (doctors, nurses, pediatricians).

Requirements:

• Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor’s degree in Midwifery or Nursing with a specialized midwifery program.

• Valid state or national regulatory license.

• Active listening, high emotional intelligence, physical stamina for long shifts, calm decision-making under pressure, and strong communication skills.

• Have work experience as a midwife.
