Mep Engineer

About the role

Design, review, and oversee Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for construction and property projects. Coordinate MEP works with architects, civil/structural engineers, contractors, and other project teams. Monitor MEP installation and construction works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, review, and oversee Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for construction and property projects

• Coordinate MEP works with architects, civil/structural engineers, contractors, and other project teams

• Monitor MEP installation and construction works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable standards

• Review technical drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and material submissions

• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance of MEP works

• Identify and resolve technical issues related to MEP systems during construction and project implementation

• Coordinate with contractors and vendors regarding MEP requirements, technical matters, and project schedules

• Monitor testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems

• Prepare and review technical reports, progress updates, and MEP documentation

• Ensure MEP works comply with applicable safety, quality, and regulatory requirements

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

• Proven experience as an MEP Engineer, preferably in construction, property development, hospitality, or building projects

• Good understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire protection, and related building systems

• Strong ability to read and interpret MEP drawings, technical specifications, and engineering documents

• Experience coordinating with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and project teams

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Good knowledge of applicable construction standards, safety requirements, and technical regulations

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Good communication and coordination skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant engineering/design software is preferred
