Legal Manager

About the role

Lead the Legal function and provide legal advice and recommendations to the Board to support company decision-making. Review, prepare, and oversee the implementation of construction contracts, cooperation agreements, and company legal documents. Monitor project developments and identify potential contractual risks, work delays, and dispute possibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Legal function and provide legal advice and recommendations to the Board to support company decision-making

• Review, prepare, and oversee the implementation of construction contracts, cooperation agreements, and company legal documents

• Monitor project developments and identify potential contractual risks, work delays, and dispute possibilities

• Provide legal support related to contract implementation, project claims, Extension of Time (EOT), and construction disputes

• Support Commercial and project teams in interpreting, implementing, and fulfilling contractual obligations

• Ensure application of FIDIC contract standards in project contract administration and claims management

• Ensure company compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and licensing requirements

• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate legal risks affecting the company and project implementation

• Lead and develop the Legal team and coordinate with external legal advisors and related departments

• Support project closing documentation and final account settlement

About you

• Minimum S1 degree in Law

• Minimum 7 years of work experience in the Legal field

• Minimum 4 years of experience in a managerial position, preferred

• Experience in the construction or infrastructure industry, preferred in toll road and bridge projects

• Understanding and ability to apply FIDIC contract provisions in project implementation and contract administration

• Strong understanding of corporate law, construction/subcontracts, Variation Orders, claims management, and contractual risk

• Ability to conduct legal risk analysis, contract negotiation, project claims handling, and dispute resolution

• Leadership, communication, analytical, cross-functional coordination, and negotiation capabilities

• Understanding and ability to ensure project contract implementation with employers/clients in accordance with contractual obligations and project execution needs

• Willingness to follow an 8:1 roster work pattern (8 weeks working: 1 week off)
