Legal Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Provide strategic legal advice to the Board of Directors and Management on business operations, investments, transactions, and corporate decisions.

• Oversee corporate legal matters, including corporate governance, contracts, compliance, licensing, and legal risk management.

• Provide legal support for property and township development, including land matters, permits, and development partnerships.

• Lead litigation and dispute resolution, including civil, land, contractual, and commercial disputes.

• Develop litigation strategies and coordinate legal proceedings and out-of-court settlements.

• Manage external lawyers, legal consultants, notaries, government agencies, and other stakeholders.

• Support strategic transactions, including investments, acquisitions, divestments, restructuring, and joint ventures.

• Draft, review, negotiate, and provide legal opinions on contracts and legal documents.

• Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks affecting business operations and development.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Law; Master's degree is an advantage.

• Minimum 10 years of legal experience, with strong expertise in corporate law and litigation.

• Experience in property, real estate, or township development is preferred.

• Strong litigation and dispute resolution experience, particularly in civil, land, and commercial matters.

• Knowledge of land law, corporate law, contracts, licensing, and property regulations.

• Strong leadership, analytical, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• English proficiency, particularly in legal drafting, contract review, and negotiation, is an advantage.

• PERADI advocate license or legal practice experience is an advantage.
