Java Backend Developer (Quarkus) - Insurance Industry

Job Description

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Java and Quarkus.

• Design and implement scalable backend architecture using MVC, Layered Architecture, and Microservices.

• Develop RESTful APIs and integrate applications with external systems.

• Implement ORM using Hibernate/Panache and manage database transactions.

• Apply Java Annotations, Dependency Injection, Design Patterns, and Clean Code principles.

• Optimize database queries and ensure application performance and reliability.

• Develop and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.

• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, and other technical teams.

• Participate in code reviews and maintain technical documentation.

• Support application deployment and troubleshooting throughout the project lifecycle.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in backend development, preferably at Middle to Senior level.

• Strong proficiency in Java and Quarkus Framework.

• Solid understanding of MVC, Layered Architecture, and Microservices.

• Experienced with Hibernate/Panache, Java Annotations, and Dependency Injection.

• Proficient in RESTful API development and external system integration.

• Strong knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, query optimization, and transaction management.

• Experienced in Unit Testing, Integration Testing, and End-to-End Testing.

• Familiar with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.

• Proficient in Git and collaborative development workflows.

• Experience in the insurance industry, particularly life or health insurance, or insurance platform development is highly preferred.
