Maintain painting equipment, tools, and the work area in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
Work closely with production and quality personnel to achieve production targets and maintain consistent product quality.
Where required, support the training and supervision of other painting operators.
Requirements
1. Industrial Painting Skills
3+ years of hands-on experience in industrial spray painting.
Proficient in operating spray guns and related painting equipment, including air pressure adjustment and paint-mixing operations.
Good understanding of paint application techniques and the factors affecting coating thickness, uniformity, adhesion, and surface finish.
Familiarity with different painting processes, including manual spray painting and automated spray-painting line operations.
2. Surface Preparation Knowledge
Understanding of surface preparation methods for different materials, including degreasing, sanding, cleaning, and rust removal where applicable.
Knowledge of the importance of surface cleanliness and preparation in achieving proper paint adhesion and coating quality.
3. Colour, Gloss and Quality Control
Good colour recognition and visual inspection skills.
Ability to identify colour and gloss variations against approved colour cards, reference samples, and customer requirements.
Experience using colour measurement and gloss measurement instruments is preferred.
Familiarity with CIELAB (L*a*b*) colour measurement or Delta E (ΔE) colour difference evaluation is an advantage.
Ability to investigate colour deviations and gloss inconsistencies and identify potential causes related to painting parameters, surface conditions, or paint properties.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining consistent product quality.
4. Work Experience and Leadership
3+ years of relevant industrial spray-painting experience.
Experience in painting metal or plastic components and industrial product housings is an advantage.
Previous experience painting medical equipment housings or enclosures is highly preferred.
Experience leading, training, or supervising a team of painting operators is an advantage.
Able to work independently, follow technical instructions, and collaborate effectively with production and quality teams.
5. Physical and Occupational Requirements

Must be medically fit to perform the essential duties of the position and comply with applicable occupational health and safety requirements.
Must have sufficient visual acuity and colour discrimination ability to assess colour consistency and painted surface quality, with reasonable accommodation where applicable.
Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience as a senior painter, painting team leader, or painting supervisor.
What We Are Looking For
We value practical experience, technical competence, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to quality.
The ideal candidate is someone who can do more than operate a spray gun: they should understand the painting process, recognise quality deviations, identify likely causes, and help maintain stable and repeatable production results.
