About the role

Arpana Villas & Private Estate is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team in South Kuta, Bali. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in maintaining the exceptional standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction that define our luxury property. As Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily housekeeping operations, managing team performance, and ensuring that every villa and common area meets our rigorous quality standards. This position is integral to delivering the premium hospitality experience our guests expect.

What you'll be doing

1. Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the housekeeping team to ensure all villas and common areas are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards

2. Conduct regular inspections of rooms and facilities to verify compliance with quality and hygiene standards

3. Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and timely ordering

4. Train, mentor, and support housekeeping staff, providing guidance on proper cleaning techniques and guest service standards

5. Address guest requests and complaints related to room cleanliness and maintenance promptly and professionally

6. Prepare and maintain detailed reports on housekeeping operations, including room status, maintenance issues, and team performance

7. Liaise with other departments including maintenance, front office, and management to ensure seamless property operations

8. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout housekeeping operations

9. Participate in staff scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary procedures as required

10. Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies within the housekeeping department

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience working in housekeeping operations within a luxury hospitality setting, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or lead role

2. Strong knowledge of housekeeping procedures, standards, and best practices in the hospitality industry

3. Exceptional attention to detail with an unwavering commitment to maintaining high cleanliness and presentation standards

4. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff

5. Outstanding communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous

6. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

7. Problem-solving capability and a proactive approach to addressing operational challenges

8. Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in hospitality operations

9. Physical capability to perform or assist with housekeeping duties as required

10. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and public holidays

11. Experience with housekeeping management systems or software is preferred
