About the role

As a Special Education Teacher (Guru Kelas ABK) at PKBM Rumah Terapi Kirana, you will be responsible for designing, modifying, and implementing customized learning programs tailored to the unique needs of each student with special needs, including those with Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Down Syndrome, or Developmental Delay. You will work in an inclusive and supportive learning environment committed to optimal development for every child.

Key responsibilities

• Design and modify curriculum by developing modified Learning Implementation Plans (RPP) and Individual Learning Programs (PPI/IEP) according to each child's characteristics and adaptive capacity level, including implementation of adapted Kurikulum Merdeka
• Manage inclusive/special classes with patience and clinical agility, making real-time program modifications and adjustments when responding to children's reactive responses
• Develop creative learning activities and teaching aids such as crafts, sensorimotor activities, and visual exercises to help students understand material including basic numeracy and early literacy concepts
• Conduct periodic developmental assessments, document student progress, and prepare timely learning progress reports (LEP) according to deadlines
• Communicate actively, constructively, and empathetically with parents and specialist teams to align child intervention programs between school and home

About you

• Minimum S1 degree in Special Education (PLB), Special Education, Elementary Teacher Education (PGSD), Psychology, Early Childhood Teacher Education (PGPAUD), or related education field
• Fresh graduate or with experience teaching or working with children with special needs
• Understand teaching methodologies specific to children with disabilities or learning difficulties
• Capable and skilled in identifying letters, sounds/letter names, and basic numeracy concepts
• Familiar with or willing to learn school administration systems such as Dapodik
• Strong independent problem-solving ability and high initiative before consulting with specialist team
• Patient, compassionate, communicative, and emotionally stable when facing classroom challenges
• High discipline regarding time management, attendance, and meeting administrative deadlines
• Able to work collaboratively in a team with good work resilience
