Job Overview

PT Gistex Garmen Indonesia is looking for a highly experienced and results-driven Garment Head of Production to lead and optimize our garment manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, extensive technical knowledge of garment production, and a proven ability to achieve production targets while maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, cost control, and on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, manage, and control daily garment production operations to achieve production targets.

• Lead production teams and ensure effective coordination across sewing lines and supporting departments.

• Monitor and improve key production performance indicators, including productivity, production efficiency, output, quality, and on-time delivery.

• Analyze production bottlenecks, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.

• Optimize production capacity, manpower allocation, machine utilization, and line balancing.

• Ensure production processes comply with standard operating procedures, buyer requirements, and quality standards.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and operational excellence practices.

• Collaborate with PPIC, Industrial Engineering, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and other departments to ensure smooth production operations.

• Evaluate team performance and develop the capabilities of production supervisors and line leaders.

• Prepare production performance reports and present improvement plans to management.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in the garment manufacturing industry, including experience in a production management or senior supervisory role.

• Strong understanding of garment manufacturing processes, particularly sewing operations, production planning, and line balancing.

• Proven ability to manage production performance and achieve operational targets.

• Solid knowledge of production KPIs, including efficiency, output, Right First Time (RFT), Defects per Hundred Units (DHU), Work in Progress (WIP), and on-time delivery.

• Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement programs.

• Strong analytical, leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage large production teams and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Proficiency in production reporting, performance analysis, and Microsoft Excel.
