About the role

We are seeking a skilled Formulator to join our manufacturing team at our facility in Wonoayu, East Java. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our production operations. As a Formulator, you will be responsible for creating, testing, and optimising product formulations to meet our exacting quality standards and specifications. This role is essential to ensuring our products maintain consistency, quality, and performance whilst meeting all regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and formulate products according to established specifications and technical requirements

• Conduct quality tests and analysis on formulations to ensure they meet company standards and regulatory compliance

• Document all formulation processes, test results, and modifications in detail for record-keeping and traceability

• Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to optimise manufacturing processes and resolve formulation-related issues

• Perform batch calculations and scale-up formulations from laboratory trials to full production scale

• Troubleshoot and correct formulation problems to maintain product consistency and quality

• Maintain accurate records of all formulations, ingredient usage, and testing procedures

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the formulation process

• Recommend improvements to formulations and processes based on testing results and industry best practices

What we're looking for

• Formal qualification in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Nutritionist, Animal Husbandry or a related scientific discipline

• Proven experience as a Formulator or in a similar role within the manufacturing or process industry

• Strong knowledge of formulation principles, chemical compatibility, and material properties

• Experience with quality testing and analysis procedures, including familiarity with laboratory equipment and instruments

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining precise documentation and records

• Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams

• Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently

• Understanding of relevant regulations and compliance requirements for manufacturing processes

• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly

• Proficiency in using formulation software or similar technical tools is advantageous
