Fashion Designer (Women's Wear)

WE ARE HIRING: FASHION DESIGNER (WOMEN'S WEAR)

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Fashion Design or a related creative field

• Minimum 2–4 years of experience as a Fashion Designer focusing on women's wear, contemporary, casual, or modest wear within the modern fashion retail industry

• Strong, varied portfolio of women's wear designs (knit & woven) demonstrating high commercial value, aesthetic appeal, and acute trend awareness

• Proficient in fashion graphic design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop for creating moodboards and precise technical flat sketches

• Deep understanding of women's wear body proportions, bust/waist/hip contouring proportions, women's pattern construction, and mass garment sewing techniques

• Solid knowledge of women's fabric characteristics, flexibility, softness levels, shrinkage, and the aesthetic drape of various materials

• Sharp fashion aesthetic, creative, assertive, highly detail-oriented, and disciplined in adhering to fast-paced product development calendars

• Fluent in basic English, both written and spoken, to conduct international fashion trend research

Job Summary

• Design and develop aesthetic, dynamic, and commercial women's ready-to-wear collections with precise drape and silhouettes, driven by global trend research and modern consumer lifestyles

• Translate seasonal themes, global women's fashion trends, and visual directives into chic, fashionable, and highly marketable garment designs

• Create precise technical flat drawings encompassing intricate constructions such as gathers, pleats, body cuts, darts, and necklines to guide accurate pattern making

• Conduct continuous research on fast & seasonal women's fashion trends, seasonal color palettes, and shifts in modern women's apparel preferences

• Select diverse women's fabric combinations (e.g., rayon, viscose, modal, linen blends, cotton poplin, rib knit, jersey, pleated fabrics) while balancing fabric drape with target production costs

• Develop complete technical specification sheets (Tech Packs), detailing decorative button placements, hidden zippers, accessories, and fine sewing instructions

• Lead and evaluate fitting sessions alongside Pattern Makers and Sample Makers to assess bust proportions, waist/hip contouring, and fabric flexibility during movement

• Direct pattern revisions or garment detail adjustments post-fitting to secure final technical approval

• Coordinate actively with the Buying & Merchandising team regarding commercial viability, SKU variations per launch, and retail price suitability

• Propose collection concepts, seasonal color palettes, and new silhouette explorations to the Fashion Design Manager, while retaining the authority to reject patterns that fail to meet initial drape or silhouette expectations
