Facility Manager

About the role

PT Sodexo Sinergi Indonesia is seeking a dedicated and experienced Facility Manager to join our team in South Jakarta. This is a contract position that offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the day-to-day operations and maintenance of our facilities. As Facility Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that our facilities operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all relevant regulations. This role is crucial to maintaining a productive environment for all building occupants and stakeholders, and you will report directly to senior management with authority over facility operations and budgetary decisions.

What you'll be doing

• Overseeing all aspects of facility operations, including maintenance, repairs, and preventative care schedules

• Managing vendor relationships and contracts for facility services such as cleaning, security, landscaping, and utilities

• Developing and implementing facility budgets, cost control measures, and ensuring effective resource allocation

• Ensuring compliance with local building codes, health and safety regulations, and environmental standards

• Conducting regular facility inspections and identifying areas for improvement or upgrades

• Managing facility staff and coordinating with contractors and service providers

• Responding to and resolving maintenance issues and emergency situations promptly

• Maintaining comprehensive records of facility operations, maintenance activities, and expenditures

• Developing and implementing sustainability initiatives to improve operational efficiency

• Liaising with building occupants and management to address concerns and gather feedback

What we're looking for

• Proven experience of at least 5 years in facility management or a related field within commercial or corporate environments

• Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and safety systems

• Experience in budget management, cost control, and vendor contract negotiation

• Excellent organisational and project management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of an organisation

• Proficiency in facility management software and Microsoft Office applications

• Sound understanding of local building codes and health and safety regulations in Indonesia

• Certification in Facility Management or equivalent professional qualification is preferred

• Ability to respond quickly to emergencies and make sound decisions under pressure

• Leadership qualities with the ability to manage and motivate facility staff and contractors
