Join Satu Bumi, a manufacturer specialising in bespoke Glass Reinforced Concrete (GRC) products for architectural and construction projects. Our custom projects require flexibility, creativity and precision.

We are expanding our multidisciplinary Drafting & Design (D&D) team. As an Estimator, you will prepare accurate cost estimates and quotation documentation, working closely with our Indonesian team and communicating regularly with our Australian sales team. Clear, confident communication in English is central to the role.

Responsibilities

• Analyse project drawings and specifications to prepare accurate quantities and cost estimates.

• Prepare detailed 2D mark-ups in coordination with the sales team.

• Develop and maintain accurate quote sheets and supporting calculations.

• Compile quotations, reports and supporting documentation for review.

• Communicate with the Australian sales team to clarify project requirements and resolve estimating queries.

• Coordinate with drafters to ensure consistency between estimates, drawings and project requirements.

What We’re Looking For

• Excellent written and spoken English is essential to success in this role. You must be able to communicate clearly and confidently with our Australian sales team, discuss technical requirements, clarify project details and prepare professional correspondence.

• A minimum of three years relevant experience in construction estimating, quantity surveying or a closely related role, including preparing cost estimates and quotation documentation.

• A degree in civil engineering, quantity surveying, architecture or a related field is preferred.

• Proficiency in CAD software, particularly AutoCAD. Familiarity with 3D modelling software would be an advantage.

• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, for preparing accurate estimating spreadsheets and quote sheets.

• Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and project specifications.

• Strong attention to detail, a commitment to accuracy and the ability to manage multiple quotations and deadlines.

• A professional, respectful and collaborative approach, with the initiative to ask questions and resolve uncertainties.

• Knowledge of construction standards and practices would be an advantage.
